A letter from one of our illuminate Kids leaders we hope inspires you.

Nine years ago my wife Lauren and I had just started attending a new church. We were excited to get plugged in so we enthusiastically approached the pastor about opportunities to serve. With a willing heart, we lead with the open ended question of "Where do you need help?" His answer...we could really use some help with the children's program. While we somewhat reluctantly agreed, as God does so often, he used this opportunity to teach us a very important lesson: There is incredible value in our children seeing us serve. Unlike many positions in the church, children's ministry allows you to set a visible example of service to your kids. You get a front row seat to watch their faith grow as they learn lessons that will stick with them for their lifetime. The influence you'll have on your child's life, and the lives of every child you come in contact with makes any sacrifice well worth it. You don't even have to teach. We're always looking for parents who are willing to give one Sunday per month to simply play some games, do some crafts and hang with the kids. Make the choice to lead by example today and consider joining the illuminate Kids leadership team. Be amazed at what God does!

Will My Child Be Safe?

Safety is our top priority at illuminate kids. All of our volunteers undergo background checks and training, and our check-in system ensures that only authorized adults can pick up a child. We have a security team that controls who is able to enter, and leave the children’s area. Your child will be safe and well cared for at illuminate.

What Precautions Are In Place For COVID-19?

To create the most comfortable environment possible, precautions are in place for volunteers, parents and children. Highlights include optional masks, distancing measures, extra cleaning and contactless check-in via the Church Center App.

Does My Child Need To Bring Anything?

If your child is still in diapers, please provide a diaper bag with diapers and wipes. If your child will need a bottle during service, please provide one for the nursery leaders, who will label the bottle and feed your child based on your instructions. Otherwise, all your child needs to bring on a Sunday morning is a teachable spirit!
